Visitor's Guide of Miami Beach, FL

Miami Beach was incorporated in 1915. It took ten years for the early developers to build the system of residential islands and waterways that make up present day Miami Beach. In 1925 developer John Lummus conceived the idea of a middle class resort located on the southern tip of Miami Beach. Here was constructed what was to become the largest historic district in the United States.
